HPD Cambridge, Inc. was established in 1988 by David L. Sanders. HPD's
goal and philosophy is to enhance the life of the senior resident by maintaining
a life-style which fosters independence. David Sanders has a Bachelors
degree in Architecture from California State Polytechnic College in San
Luis Obispo and a Masters degree in Architecture and Urban Design from
Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. A registered architect in
5 states, Sanders is accredited by the National Council of Architectural
Registration Boards (NCARB). Sanders' expertise has evolved over twenty-five
years of research, planning, design and development in the senior living
and health care industries. He was president of a nationally based architecture
firm for fifteen years with a staff of almost one hundred employees. He
has pioneered the "mixed-use" retirement community which combines
residential, commercial, retail, cultural, and institutional developments.
HPD combines three disciplines specializing in Urbansenior housing development.
Research, Planning/Design, and Development Services are the three disciplines
which collectively provide the client with a variety of specialized services.
HPD is very unique among developers, researchers, and designers in that
its office is located within an Urban senior retirement campus.
